Jo Teut

Jo Teut allis a second-year graduate student at the University of Cincinnati in the Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies MA program and a graduate assistant in the UC Title IX Office. While generally interested in the human experience, zir research focuses on recovering asexual identities within contemporary literature, contemporary poetry, gender issues in Hemingway’s texts, the Beat Generation, gender neutral language in colloquial and academic use, creating feminist discourses and institutions, theorizing marginalized identities, expressing lived experience through literature, and inclusive sexual consent models. Ze has presented zir research at the 2015 Midwest Bisexual Lesbian Gay Transgender Ally College Conference, the 2015 North American Asexuality Conference, the 2015 UC 7th Diversity Conference, the 7th Annual Queer Studies Conference at Ohio University, and UC QueerCon 2016, among other places.
