Wendy Bruun, Ed.D.,all is a higher education professional, recognized for her compassionate work with college students and her ability to transform programs from good to excellent.

She is a champion of the transformative nature of a college education on students, their families, and their communities. In her current role directing a TRIO student support services program, Wendy manages a federal grant for first generation college students, especially those from low-income families, as well as students with disabilities. The program receives funding which expands services to additional students, as well as private foundation grants to serve youth aging out of foster care. She also co-authored a grant proposal, which was awarded to Northern Arizona University, to expand services for first-generation students, as well as to provide professional development on first-generation student issues for faculty and staff.

Wendy holds a doctorate in educational leadership from Northern Arizona University, a master’s degree from Colorado State University’s Student Affairs in Higher Education program, and a bachelor's degree in psychology from Western Washington University.
