Global Division Director
William Young H. has been working in higher education for more than 20 years. His professional experience includes senior leadership positions in academic and student administration at the most prestigious and traditional universities in Chile (Universidad de Chile and Universidad Católica) and, since 2019, he is the National Director of Admissions in one of the largest institutions in his country, Santo Tomás. Prior to this role, William worked for 9 years as the Director of Student Affairs at UC and Adjuncts Associate Professor. During this period Young engaged with the Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education (NASPA), made a strong relationship with peers in México and Colombia and was the first director of the Latin America and Caribbean Area of NASPA, collaborating with dozens of institutions in the region and the world to disseminate good practices, evidence-based work and professional development in student affairs. As result of his work, he was selected to be the first director of the Global Division of NASPA and serve as a Board Member of NASPA since 2019.
Young received his Engineering title and master’s degree in management from the Universidad de Chile and have been always in touch with his alma matter teaching deferent topics related with the marketing and strategic analysis courses.
