Call for Applications: Journal of Women and Gender Editorial Board (2020-2023 Term)

August 15, 2019

APPLICATION SUBMISSION DEADLINE: OCTOBER 1, 2019

The editors of the Journal of Women and Gender in Higher Education seek individuals with expertise in research and/or practice that critically examines women and gender in higher education to join the Editorial Board for the 2020-2023 term. The journal’s mission focuses on scholarship that centers gender-based experiences of students, faculty, and staff while examining oppression, including but not limited to patriarchy, sexism, trans* oppression, and cisnormativity as they intersect with other systems of domination. The editors are particularly interested in manuscripts that not only focus on a gender-based group but also critically interrogate the ways in which gender has been used as a construct to limit opportunities and shape outcomes and experiences. The journal publishes high-quality and rigorous scholarship that can be used by NASPA members and others to transform daily practice, research, and the field of higher education. Applications should be submited via the application form on the NASPA website.

Application Requirements:

  • Cover letter describing the applicant’s interest, qualifications, and areas of expertise (content and methodological)
  • Curriculum vitae or résumé

Submit your application by completing the application form on the NASPA website.
Applications will not be complete without uploading a cover letter and a CV or résumé.

If selected, Editorial Board members will be invited to attend an Editorial Board Meeting at the 2020 NASPA Annual Conference in Austin, Texas. New Editorial Board members will be notified by December 2019.
