Reports suggest that Senator McCaskill of Missouri is set to release the results of her large-scale campus sexual assault survey as soon as this week.
Sen. McCaskill (D–Mo.) took major steps to advance sexual assault reform on college campuses in April by sending out a survey to approximately 450 colleges and universities, the results of which will inform the legislation she intends to propose later this summer. Sen. Dean Heller (R-Nev.) is expected to join McCaskill as a co-sponsor on the bipartisan legislation that intends to streamline confusing processes, empower survivors, and require training of higher education professionals to properly deal with sexual assault cases, along with other pertinent issues related to campus sexual assault.
