Graduate Student Spotlight - Samantha Perrin
June 24, 2016
Name: Samantha Perrin
Hometown: Lowell, Michigan
Graduate Institution: University of North Dakota
Degree you are working towards: Master’s of Science in Higher Education
Undergraduate Institution: Alma College
Why you chose your graduate institution: I worked as a sorority house director at UND for a year between undergrad and grad school. I thought it would be fun to go somewhere totally new while applying to programs back in the Great Lakes area. I loved my job and the campus, so at the last minute, I decided to apply to UND!
The best gift you have ever received? My sorority family gave me a blanket with one square created by each of the members who were active when I graduated. It meant so much to me since I started our new family line my senior year and I had lost most of my sorority items in a house fire the summer after graduation.
My secret passion is? I absolutely love marching bands and color guards! I was in marching band through all of high school and undergrad, and I assisted the marching band for fun at my graduate institution.
