Knowledge Communities at the IV-WE Regional Conference
September 1, 2016
Knowledge Communities (KCs) are an awesome way to get to know people in the region and across the country. But, with 30 different KCs, how do you begin to know what they’re about and which one(s) you might be interested in? Well, we have some great ways for you to do that at the November regional conference in beautiful St. Louis!
Trivia Night
The first great event is Trivia Night, happening on the opening night of the conference, Tuesday, November 15th at 8:30 pm. You will get into teams to compete in rounds of KC and St. Louis trivia while enjoying snacks and having a great time. Plus, the three best teams will win prizes! It’s a great opportunity to have fun, meet people, and learn about the various KCs and our host city.
KC Mini-Sessions
On Wednesday, November 16th during the 3:00 pm educational session block, the KC Representatives from Regions IV-West and IV-East will be giving mini presentations. Each KC will present for 10 minutes about what is happening regionally and nationally that relates to the KC, how to get involved, and answer any questions you may have. The format will allow you to attend 4 presentations in a single session block.
The KCs are an important part of NASPA and a great way to learn, meet others with similar interests, and start getting involved with NASPA. We hope you will attend these events and take full advantage of what the KCs have to offer!
If you have questions, feel free to contact any of us. See you there!
