The BACCHUS Initiatives of NASPA recently celebrated 40 years of peer education. We would not have celebrated this milestone if it were not for peer educators, advisors, and their commitment to helping college students to make healthy choices.
The annual BACCHUS Initiatives of NASPA General Assembly, occurring in November each year, is the premier educational and networking opportunity for peer educators and their advisors. It’s more than just a conference. It is often a launching pad for students to enter student affairs, health education, and related fields.

Student Advisory Committee (SAC)
Each year student groups involved with The BACCHUS Initiatives of NASPA elect peer leaders to serve on a Student Advisory Committee (SAC). The peer leaders are selected from institutions across the nation, representing a diverse group of students and educational pursuits. Two Student Advisory Committee Directors work as a liason between the NASPA National staff and the SAC, as well as providing support at events such as General Assembly.
In addition, the BACCHUS Initiatives of NASPA are fortunate to work with a talented group of professionals on campus. Regional consultants and state coordinators are a group of experienced advisors who create a network of regional leadership support surrounding peer education.
