I hope you all had a great May! The TKC has been hard at work restructuring the leadership team a bit and working on a draft of our strategic plan. I hope to share with you all of these new adventures in June as we get some more things finalized and work to give the TKC a new foundation.

We are currently looking to add a TKC Publications and Webinar Coordinator to our team. This position will oversee the annual TKC article that is published with the other NASPA KC’s. Here is a link to last year’s. You will be in charge of working with an author to have TKC representation in the annual publication. You also will be the coordinator of our annual webinar. If this sounds like a perfect fit for you, fill out an application on Volunteer Central.

We are also still looking for regional reps for Region I and Region III. If you’d like to serve your region and work with the TKC please visit Volunteer Central and sign up today!

We’ve also been asked to try to help to find authors for this following project:

The volume will be organized around three major components: (1) professional identity; (2) professional standards and competencies (e.g., CAS, ACPA & NASPA, etc.); and (3) case studies and practical exercises. The three components will be integrated into the chapters in the volume.

PROPOSED CHAPTERS  (Those starred have been assigned)

  1. Overview*
  2. History of Technology in Student Affairs*
  3. Digital Identity
  4. Digital Decision-Making
  5. Integrating High-Tech with High Touch on Campus

I’m excited for what is in the future for the TKC and I can’t wait to share with you some more updates coming in June. Remember to take some time to relax and enjoy the summer.
