Jerrid Freeman, NASPA IV-W Regional Director
May 2, 2017
As I furiously write my comments to Region IV-West I am reminded by the blessings we have in our job. My nights and weekends have been filled with me whining about numerous banquets, receptions, ceremonies, and concerts. But the truth is, I am grateful I get to attend so many great events. Rejoicing in our community, celebrating great effort and success, and awarding those who give selflessly over and over each and every day. I GET TO DO all of this! I sometimes get lost in the business of it all and the crisis events that are filled all around the special year end closing events. So, in the spirit I recognize the craziness and nonstop nature that exists for all of us at the end of the year and also remind myself that we get to do amazing things with amazing people this time of the year. I am thankful for all you do and the great students we get to impact each and every day. Good luck with all the events, budget cuts, graduations, crisis situations, and personal life situations before us all.
Once the semester ends, it will be time to plan for the upcoming summer, the coming fall semester, and all that brings with it. We hope to continue planning for the next year with NASPA. We hope to bring you a number of amazing events, zoom events on critical conversations, our November conference in Lincoln, and other various support supplied through NASPA. Let's do this!
