Young, Gifted and @Risk
October 21, 2016
I am excited that my new home city of St. Louis is hosting the NASPA Region IV-WE joint regional conference. I look forward to seeing those of you who will be joining us for the conference in November.
As you think about your travel plans to St. Louis, I write to share information with you about a program hosted by Washington University on Friday, November 11 on the Washington University Campus. The title of the program is: Young, Gifted and @Risk . Young, Gifted and @Risk is a one day conference focused on supporting the mental health and emotional well-being of students of color. National scholars, campus administrators, mental health practitioners, families, students, and community leaders will come together to explore how campus communities can support the success of students of color.
The conference is free of charge though seating is limited. For those who may be interested in attending, please find the link to more detailed information about the program and the conference registration here: http://www.stevefund.org/ygar-2016/
Safe travels to St. Louis and I look forward to seeing you soon!
Best,
Lori White
