A NASPA Community Award
The purpose of this award is to recognize an individual for their commitment to and excellence within the field of sexual and relationship violence advocacy and/or response. Within Student Affairs, we strive for the holistic health and development of students. This development is deeply impacted by sexual and relationship violence. It is critical to recognize professionals living a mission to help individuals and campuses maneuver through challenging systems, heal from sexual assault and relationship violence, identify their internal power and potential, and improve services, policies and procedures.
The purpose of this award is to create a standard of excellence within the Student Affairs profession that will recognize exemplary colleagues in the world of Sexual and Relationship Violence Prevention Advocacy and Response.
This award is open to graduate students and professional staff and administers working within the field of sexual and relationship violence advocacy and/or response.
Nominees for this award will have demonstrated a strong dedication to sexual and relationship violence advocacy and/or response during the academic year in which the award is presented. These individuals include advocacy professionals working with survivors, Title IX personnel, counselors/therapists, crisis intervention staff, etc.
The following materials are required to nominate individuals for this award:
- one-page nomination letter,
- a minimum of two supporting letters, and
- a resume provided by the nominee.
