Region I: The President's Award

NASPA institutional membership is required for this nominee's institution.

The regional winner of this category will be forwarded to NASPA for consideration for recognition at the national level.

This special NASPA honor is presented to a college or university President or Chancellor who has, over a sustained period, advanced the quality of student life on campus by supporting the institution's student affairs staff and initiatives.

Required Criteria:
● Recognized by all constituencies, particularly by students and student affairs
● Consistently provides support for student affairs and initiatives
● Active institutional NASPA membership

Preferred Criterion:
● Record of publications, speeches, and remarks that recognize the value and importance of student life implications for higher education at the national or international level
