Region V The President's Award

Each year Region V recognizes outstanding members by honoring individual professionals with regional awards.  Regional award recipients will be forwarded for consideration for NASPA central awards.

This award is conferred to a college or university President/Chancellor. Recipients have advanced the quality of student life on campus by supporting student affairs staff and programs over a sustained period of time.  Recipients demonstrate the following:

• Recognized by all consitutencies as having special interest in student life for significant period of time demonstrating consistent advocacy for and participation in the holistic student experience for at least 7 years;
• Consistently provides support for student affairs staff and initiatives as demonstrated by multiple examples;
• Demonstrates a record of publications, speeches, and remarks that recognize the value and importance of student life; and
• Affiliated with an institution that holds an active NASPA institutional membership and having demonstrated involvement of student affairs professionals in NASPA.

Each nomination should include a letter of nomination, at least five letters of support, and the nominee’s resume and contact information.
