5 Days, 5 Challenges, 1 Mission: Join the WISA Week of Giving!
The goal of the WISA Knowledge Community is to amplify, celebrate, and empower the intersectional voices of womxn across every level of student affairs. From breaking down gender equity barriers to creating space for genuine connection and professional growth, our mission is simple: to uplift, support, and champion you!
As Advancement Co-Chairs, we could not be more excited to launch one of our favorite traditions, WISA Week of Giving! This year’s giving campaign is scheduled for October 19-23, 2026.
This week is all about the incredible power of our collective community. Every donation to our Knowledge Community Special Interest Fund creates real, tangible opportunities: funding research on womxn’s issues, providing conference scholarships, expanding leadership pathways, and ensuring early-career professionals have the resources to thrive.
5 Ways to Get Involved & Give Back This Week
To celebrate WISA Week of Giving, we are hosting daily community challenges across our social media platforms! Here is how you can participate each day and join us in making a difference:
- Memory Monday (#MemoryMonday): Reflect on your journey and celebrate our shared history! Share your favorite WISA or NASPA memory, photo, or connection on social media and tag us.
- Together Tuesday (#TogetherTuesday): Celebrate the impact of collective giving. Tag a colleague, mentor, or friend in student affairs, thank them for their impact, and challenge them to make a gift alongside you today!
- Why Wednesday (#WhyWednesday): Purpose fuels our community. Tell us your "Why" why did you first join WISA, or why do you choose to give back to support womxn in higher education? Share your story and tag us to be featured.
- Thankful Thursday (#ThankfulThursday): Honor the champions who helped pave your path. Post a shoutout or photo dedicated to a mentor, supervisor, or colleague who shaped your career, and consider making a donation in their honor.
- Future Friday (#FutureFriday): Invest in the next generation of higher education leaders! Your contributions directly fund NASPA conference registration scholarships, research grants, and professional development access for graduate students and early-career professionals.
