WISA Opportunities for NASPA 2027 Are Here!

September 2, 2026

The NASPA 2027 Annual Conference may still be months away, but there are already ways to get involved with the Womxn in Student Affairs Knowledge Community! Whether you’re presenting your work, conducting research, or looking for support to attend the conference, WISA wants to help amplify the work of womxn across student affairs. Here are two ways to get involved now:

Submit Your Program for WISA Sponsorship

Planning to submit a program for the NASPA 2027 Annual Conference? Consider submitting your session for WISA sponsorship!

We’d love to highlight programs that center womxn’s experiences, identities, challenges, leadership, and opportunities within student affairs. WISA-sponsored programs help bring important conversations about womxn in higher education to the Annual Conference while connecting attendees with our Knowledge Community.

Program submissions are due September 23.

How to Submit Your Program for WISA Sponsorship

When completing your NASPA Annual Conference proposal:

  • Visit the Annual Conference submission page and select “Submit a Proposal.”
  • Log in to your NASPA account.
  • Select “Annual Conference Home” and then “Start Submission: Educational Session.”
  • Select “General Interest Session.”
  • Complete your program proposal.
  • Under “Primary Content Area,” select “Identity, Equity, and Belonging.”
  • Select “Womxn’s Initiatives.”
  • Save and submit your proposal for consideration.

That’s it! Selecting Womxn’s Initiatives ensures your proposal can be considered for WISA sponsorship.

Apply for a WISA Research & Scholarship Award

WISA’s Research & Scholarship Award applications are also open! Each year, WISA provides funding to support scholarship focused on womxn in student affairs and help members access the NASPA Annual Conference.

We offer two annual grants:

  • Research & Scholarship Grant: Recognizes and supports impactful research focused on womxn’s issues in student affairs.
  • Conference Access Grant: Helps one graduate student and one professional attend the NASPA Annual Conference.

Applications are due October 1.

We’ll See You at NASPA 2027!

NASPA 2027 is an opportunity to share your work, learn from colleagues, build new connections, and elevate conversations impacting womxn across our field. WISA is excited to support our community along the way. Submit your program by September 23, apply for a WISA award by October 1, and stay tuned for more ways to connect with WISA as we get closer to NASPA 2027!
