Message from the AVP Steering Committee Chair
In our work as assistant/associate vice presidents in student affairs we are expected to manage the complicated and demanding landscape of higher education with grace and finesse. In trying to stay abreast of these dynamic challenges, it is imperative that AVPs have the necessary skills, and connections to a strong network of colleagues that would help them be successful in their role. The NASPA AVP Steering Committee strives to offer its constituent members a wide array of professional engagement and development opportunities that range from national and regional conference workshops, roundtable discussions, intensive institutes, social networking opportunities, and blog discussions via social media. New this year, will be the 2020 NASPA AVP Symposium. We welcome input and involvement from our AVP colleagues and invite you to reach out to us if you would like to get involved and/or have suggestions or ideas.
- Shadia Sachedina, Chair, AVP Steering Committee
