Navigating Responsibilities for DEIB in Today's Fraught Landscape
May 18, 2023 | 4:00PM - 5:00PM ET

Whether we are facing political challenges or engaging new administrative structures, navigating our responsibilities to create inclusive campus cultures has become less straightforward. Join us for this Colleague Conversation as VPSAs lead us in a session to discuss how we continue to provide needed support to students with marginalized identities, lead our campuses through the tensions between free expression and cultures of belonging, and respond in an era of continual political intrusion and influence. This session will also explore the tensions and conflicts that can arise when student affairs and DEIB are structurally separated as well as the synergies that can be gained.
