The Outstanding Parent and Family Relations Professional Award

This award recognizes a professional or graduate assistant who has made a significant impact on the profession of parents and families in higher education. The nominee’s achievements have advanced the profession or knowledge community in any of its aspects. Nominators will write about how the nominee has demonstrated commitment to the profession, contributed to programs that address the needs of parents and families, created campus environments that promote parent and family engagement, and/or contributed work or scholarship that supports the advancement of parents and families of students in institutions of higher education.

Nominators will submit:

  • Basic information about the nominee and the nominator;
  • A 500 to 600-word description of the nominee’s impact on the field; and
  • A letter of support for the nominated program

The award recipient will be recognized at the PFRKC Open Business Meeting held during the annual NASPA Conference.  Nominees must be a NASPA member.
