Join Dr. Marybeth Gasman, professor of higher education in the graduate school of education at the University of Pennsylvania for a session to help student affairs professionals move from words to action in the face of racism and police brutality. This live briefing will take place on August 4 from 3:00 - 4:00 p.m. EDT.

In this session, participants will:

  • gather in an online space for community, processing, healing and for a solution strategy discussion to respond to the recent events of racial injustice in America 
  • understand how to become more comfortable using their privileged identities to be a voice and active supporter for historically marginalized identity groups
  • learn best practices to include the narratives of others to help create awareness, facilitate change and take action on college campuses 
  • learn how to be supportive of students and colleagues impacted by racial injustice
