The Fundraising and Communications Knowledge Community serves as a professional home and resource community for student affairs professionals engaged in fundraising and communications. We support skill development, share innovative practices, foster professional connections, and advocate for the essential role of storytelling, fundraising, stewardship, and strategic communication in advancing student affairs and higher education.

Vision

The Fundraising and Communications Knowledge Community equips student affairs professionals with the tools, knowledge, and confidence to lead strategic fundraising and communications efforts that amplify the impact of student affairs. We cultivate a community of practice where professionals innovate, lead, and elevate fundraising and communications in higher education.

Priorities

  • Professional Development & Knowledge Sharing - Facilitate skill-building and resource-sharing opportunities that advance professionals' ability to lead fundraising and communication efforts within their role across all levels of responsibility.

  • Community & Network Building - Cultivate a vibrant, supportive network of professionals through online platforms, mentoring, storytelling, and collaborative engagement opportunities.

  • Thought Leadership & Innovation - Showcase and contribute to emerging trends, effective practices, and bold ideas that advance fundraising and communications within higher education.

  • Visibility & Strategic Partnerships - Strengthen the KC’s presence across NASPA and the field by engaging in cross-functional partnerships, publishing content, and hosting high-impact sessions and events.

  • Assessment & Impact - Measure the effectiveness of KC initiatives and engagement to ensure continued relevance, equity, innovation, and value for members.
