About

The mission and purpose of the NASPA Undergraduate Student Conference is to provide a first-hand learning opportunity for undergraduate students that provides a knowledge and understanding of student affairs work, awareness of professional associations, engages participants in networking opportunities with peers and student affairs professionals, and provides resources that will assist with them with discovering their purpose in student affairs.

This year's 2017 NASPA Undergraduate Student Conference has been designed to ensure participants will:

  • Discover and understand the history, mission and purpose of student affairs
  • Engage in professional networking opportunities with national association leaders, peers and current student affairs professionals
  • Gain awareness of various institutional types, organizational structures, functional areas and student populations
  • Explore awareness of personal and professional identity and how it intersects within the student affairs profession
  • Reflect and understand how societal changes have affected higher education and student affairs
  • Understand the process of applying to graduate school and enhancing their knowledge and skills in graduate preparation programs
  • Identify ways to connect collegiate leadership and engagement experiences into a meaningful occupational trajectory
