Why is it so important for us to think about resiliency? How does it actually benefit us? What about our students?
In this hour long presentation, which serves as an introduction to the Resilient Living: A Guide to Foster Resilience and Live a More Thriving Life short course, Dr. Delvina Miremadi-Baldino will talk about the importance of resilience in a full, meaningful, thriving life. She will give insight into what the full five week course holds, and will also introduce a toolkit for schools to bring better wellness and resilence to their students.
By engaging in this session, participants will:
- understand how the experience of stress can lead to burnout and mental health concerns;
- define the concept of resilience and learn how it can help mitigate stress; and
- recognize and apply evidence-based practices that have been proven to help individuals thrive.
