Renaissance: A Regional Celebration
Greetings from Chicagoland!
We are thrilled to welcome you back to the Chicago area for the Regional Conference for NASPA IV-East! Preparations are underway to welcome you and our regional colleagues and friends to the Renaissance Schaumburg Hotel and Convention Center, which will host “A Regional Celebration” from November 8 to 10, 2015!
And it’s time to celebrate! This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Higher Education and Voting Rights Acts of 1965, and is also the “golden anniversary” of the establishment of NASPA’s regional structures within the association. Region IV-East is home to so many institutions of higher education, student-affairs graduate-preparation programs, and significant milestones that have shaped the history and importance of our work, making this year truly a celebration as we experience a rebirth – a Renaissance – of commitment to professional leadership as a community of educators.
Personally, for many, the regional conference is not only a showcase for best practices, but is a chance to recharge, renew, and recommit to the very mission and heritage of the profession. Each year’s conference offers opportunities for personal renewal and professional rebirth, and this year’s will be no exception. Please come to celebrate our past, to acknowledge our present, and to mark a path for our professional future together.
After a variety of pre-conference institutes and topical workshops, the conference will begin and end with important keynote sessions delivered by outstanding scholar-leaders in our field. An array of educational sessions, tracked for content and experience level, and a number of special events and activities will celebrate everyone and everything IV-East! We know you will find great value and reward in your decision to attend.
Please visit this conference website often to learn of further program details as they become available. We plan to use this site as the final clearinghouse for all conference-related information and source of communication. It will be a helpful tool as you plan to attend to share, renew, and celebrate with your regional family this November!
On behalf of an exceptional conference planning committee, please accept our invitation to Renaissance – and we’ll look forward to celebrating with you in Schaumburg in November!
With warm regards,
